Old + New

When the owners of this historic downtown home purchased the property, the kitchen was a tiny cramped space at the back of the home - not surprising for a home built in 1900. We set out to expand the kitchen slightly, incorporating a back hallway into the space, and converting part of the attached garage into a back entry mudroom and pantry. Special care was taken to preserve the history of the home through protection of the original chimney and selections that honor the home’s heritage: inset cabinetry, custom millwork, and charming ceiling detail.
