With the exception of e-design, all projects begin with an in-home design consultation.

Sometimes a design consultation is all you need. Perhaps you already have a pretty solid vision of what you want and you just need an experienced professional to confirm your ideas and provide advice for moving forward on your own. Perhaps you need help with something specific, such as selecting an interior paint color or deciding on a new living room layout. Whatever your needs, we can look at as many spaces as you'd like, and address whatever issues you have in any or all of them.

Or maybe you have a big project ahead and you’re at the beginning stages of brainstorming, planning, and selecting professionals to walk through the process with you. A design consultation will let you get to know Julie and her process, and it will help her get an idea of your project scope and needs so she can give you an estimate for further services.

The first consultation on any project generally takes 1-2 hours.

Design Planning

LET’S MAKE A PLAN

$90/hour

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to remodel your kitchen, open up a wall between two spaces, or change the interior layout. What would that look like? What needs to happen? Design planning answers those questions, providing you with layout options, 3D renderings, shopping lists, and product suggestions.

Initial design planning for full kitchen or bath remodels generally takes 15-20 hours per space

Project Partner

LET US HELP ALONG THE WAY

$90/hour

If you are tackling a major project you might find you need design assistance on an ongoing basis. With new construction and larger remodeling especially, the process of making all of the interior decisions can happen over many months. With this in mind, we offer a flexible on-going partnership opportunity. Schedule appointments on an as-needed basis and we can discuss whatever decisions need to be made at that point in time.

Examples of this service (to name a few) include meeting in showrooms to make selections, mocking up ideas to provide clarity regarding design options, creating documents for trades, communicating with vendors, and helping with project challenges as they arise.

Red Door Design will simply keep track of the hours we spend together on your project as well as any time spent creating drawings, renderings, and so forth. Monthly invoices keep the project costs clear and manageable.

Shopping

LET’S FIND WHAT YOU NEED

Shopping can be daunting. If you need something sourced, whether it’s a single piece of art for a space or a whole room of furniture, Red Door Design can find it. Our Product Guide will provide you with product images, links and details, and will often include visuals of items in your space so you can see it before you buy it. We will sit down and talk through your personalized Product Guide, providing you with the knowledge and resources to move forward in your purchasing.

Shopping generally takes about an hour per item sourced.

Styling

LET’S FINISH STRONG

$90/hour

Styling out those finishing touches in a bookcase, on kitchen shelving, in glass fronted cabinets, or around a room can finish off your space beautifully. Give your existing or newly furnished room the finishing touches it needs to really shine. Whether you want us to shop your home and use what you already own or bring in a selection of accessories and decor tailored to your space, we can give your home the designer look.

Styling generally takes about 2 hours per room; plus additional shopping time and product costs as agreed on with the client.
